Our Causes
A Brief History of Thisaigal
M/s Thisaigal Foundation, established in 2022, works towards women empowerment and child development through its unique EDGE concept – Education and Development towards Gender Equality.
The foundation supports unemployed rural women by providing vocational and skill training, awareness programs, and income-generation opportunities, enabling self-employment and industrial placement across Tamil Nadu and Puducherry.

Women Empowerment
Thaisaigal Foundation empowers women through education, skill training, awareness programs, livelihood opportunities, and gender equality.
Child Rights & Welfare
We protect children through education, emotional support, safety initiatives, ensuring wellbeing and child’s dignified growth.
Environment
The foundation promotes environmental protection through awareness, tree plantation, waste reduction, and eco-friendly community practices.
Social Development
Thaisaigal Foundation strengthens communities through welfare programs, education, health awareness, inclusive support, and social responsibility.

Chronology of Thisaigal
• "We have established a Tailoring Training Center in Koliyanur village, to provide training
in the Tailoring and embroidery industry."
• "A three-month tailoring training programme was conducted Similar, 180 women
benefited from four trainings in a year. Of these, 90% are now self-employed."
• "We have established a Vocational Training Center in Nallappalayam village, Kanai Union,
to provide training in the Agarbatti-making industry."
• "To encourage rural women entrepreneurs, 150 rural women were provided with
Agarbatti-making training. Out of them, 10 women have successfully started their own
businesses with financial assistance from Indian Bank and are running them
efficiently."
• "We have formed a total of 371 groups in Villupuram and Kallakurichi district".
• "To provide Group Management and Leadership training to SHG women, empowering
them to build and sustain strong, resilient SHGs."
• "Training programmes on Business Management, Marketing strategies and
Entrepreneurship Skills Development were conducted to encourage and empower rural
women entrepreneurs so that they can establish and grow their own businesses."
Currently, 114 women have started and run their own businesses.
